Tlaloc | Kerbedanz

KERBEDANZ gave this model the symbolic figure of the Aztec God Tlaloc, one of the most important of the Mesoamerican pantheon.

Tlaloc, his full name Tlalocantecuhtli in nahuatl language, means "one who does sprout things" or "The one who run things", was also regarded as "the one who is the incarnation (or the personification) of Earth.

God of water, rain and agriculture, but also hail, lightning and thunder storms, Tlaloc was revered not only by the Toltecs and Aztecs, but also throughout the Mexico and Central America as the most important and the oldest God of fertility.

He could drop different kinds of rain, also those which, beneficial, do sprout vegetation, than those of storms, devastating crops.

The four cardinal points were also attributed to him; Tlaloc was supposed to reside as well as atop mountains where was located the Tlálocan (territory of Tlaloc), sort of paradise in which water, flowers and food abounded.

As a master of lightning, Tlaloc was the God which transforms men and who renews the nature.
